Danish students have extensive opportunities to appeal. It is for example possible for students to make appeals about tests and grades. The university receives and evaluates appeals, usually at department level, and has a system of appeal bodies that deal with such matters. However, if the student disagrees with the university’s decision, the student has the possibility to appeal against the decision by contacting the Danish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Higher Education.

Procedures for receiving and dealing with student appeals are very formalized and described with a high level of detail in Danish laws and decrees.

If a student makes an appeal about your grading or teaching, you should talk to your colleagues and learn about their experiences.
