Teaching in English

English Medium Instruction (EMI) presents a set of challenges for lecturers and students when English is not their first language. This section focuses on what lecturers can do to facilitate student learning in EMI programmes. Under No Need to Go Native, you will find more on English as an international language, on communicative success and on the problems that lecturers face in the international programmes as well as some solutions to these problems.

Under Boost Your Communication Skills you will find resources in the form of short presentations and activities to help you do just that – Boost your Communication Skills in English!

Practice Makes a Difference is a guide to how you may train presentation and communication skills in practice. You should try it!
